Re-enactors add realism

The authentic costuming, props and look of the characters, Sean Stone as the Confederate sniper above, in "One Cold Night in Virginia" was greatly enhanced by advice and consultation from Civil War re-enactors, primarily the 101st Texas Re-enactors. Some of the group even played minor roles.

To the right, several re-enactors discuss details of art direction with the film's producer, JB Edwards, on location at Isle Du Bois Unit North of Dallas, Texas. The re-enactors provided authentic uniforms including rifles, knapsacks, belts, ammo pouches and canteens for the production including actual Union Springfield and Confederate Enfield musket reproductions valued at $1,700 a weapon. Uniforms for the leads in the film were purchased from a specialty store in Gettysburg, PA.
